Arsenal v Tottenham free bet offers

October 29, 2008

Since his appointment at the end of last week Harry Redknapp has already inspired his team to claim their first three points of the season, but can they put in repeat performance when they take on their bitter (and more successful) rivals Arsenal tonight? If Spurs can win tonight it will mark their 1500th league victory and more importantly their first back to back win of 2008.

Will 4 be the lucky number for Arsenal? They are 4 points and 4 places behind League Leaders Liverpool and will be chasing their 4th win on the bounce this season, if Arsenal were to win 4-0 the odds are 16/1!. Arsenal go into the game with a seventeen match unbeaten run against Spurs (ten wins, seven draws) so are the clear favourites to win.  That being the case Paddy Power will refund all losing first and last goalscorer, correct score & scorecast singles on the match if Emmanuel Adebayor scores the last goal of this match.

Adebayo is currently the favourite to score first for Arsenal with odds of 9/2, for Tottenham the odds are a bit higher for their favourite Pavlyuchenko to score first who is currently at 10/1 with odds of 10/11 for no Spurs goalscorer!

Chelsea v Liverpool Betting Offer

October 24, 2008

The top two teams in the Premier League go head to head at Stamford Bridge on Sunday with Chelsea taking on Liverpool. Both teams remain unbeaten in all competitions and come in to the game in great form, leaving the odds compilers with something of a headache. Chelsea are the favourites to win the game at odds of 10/11 with Paddypower, a price that is more than double the usual odds about a home win for the Blues and sure to make plenty of appeal to backers who think Chelsea are a good thing. However, Liverpool will equally have plenty of backers at seemingly generous odds of 10/3.

The best result for the bookies would therefore probably be the draw at 9/4, providing that one of the leading suspects for first goalscorer doesn’t oblige. With Didier Drogba still out injured, Nicolas Anelka (9/2) and Frank Lampard (6/1) look the biggest goal threats for Chelsea, while Liverpool will be hoping that Fernando Torres can return from injury to feature in the game. If he does, the 13/2 about the Spaniard scoring the first goal is sure attract plenty of support as too will Steven Gerrard at big odd of 11/1. Gerrard is the feature player of Paddypower’s cashback offer on this game. If the Liverpool captain scores at any time during the game, Paddy Power will refund all losing firs goalscorer, last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast bets on this game.

Will Celtic beat their away day blues at Old Trafford?

October 20, 2008

Celtic go to Old Trafford on Tuesday as part of their Champions League campaign and will hope to end their poor away form in the Champions League when they visit Manchester United, Celtic have played 16 matches away and lost all but one when they managed a draw, there home form has been more respectable having won 13 out of their 16 games and only losing one when Barcelona beat them 3-2.

To help the game be less predictable Paddy Power will refund all losing first/last goalscorer, correct score & scorecast singles if Wayne Rooney or Robbie Keane scores last in the match.  Celtic will be without Midfielder Marc Crosas and Manchester United’s Patrice Evra is doubtful with a hamstring injury.

Will the luck be with the Irish against Cyprus? Paddy Power think so

October 15, 2008

The Republic of Ireland face Cyprus tonight at Croke Park as part of their World Cup 2010 qualifying campaign and will be eager to remove from their memories their disastrous Euro 2008 qualifying match when they lost 5-2 to Cyprus and could only draw 1-1 in the return in Dublin.  The RoI are currently 4/11 to win the match and 7-2 for the draw, if Cyprus can repeat their 2006 form they are worth a couple of pounds for the win at 9/1.

Paddy Power are refunding all losing 1st/last goalscorer, correct score & scorecast singles in the match if Robbie Keane is the last goalscorer (but not if he scores an own goal). As well as this great offer Paddy Power are also giving new customers a free £30 bet.

Manchester United are the 2/5 favourites with Boylesports to get a win against the Danish champions whilst, what be a major shock in a home win is priced at 15/2. However, this is unlikely and the reigning Champions League holders should have too much class for their opponents and a convincing win looks set to be on the cards. A 3-0 Man United victory at 15/2 is sure to make plenty of appeal to people betting on this game, as is Ronaldo to score the opening goal of the game at 10/3. Although with United’s current array of goalscoring threats, anyone of Berbatov, Rooney or Tevez is also as likely to get the game’s opening goal.

Arsenal v Porto Champions League Betting Offer

September 29, 2008

Arsenal will be looking for a quick return to winning ways when they take on Porto at the Emirates on Tuesday in the Champions League. This follows a shock 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Hull City in the Premier League at the weekend, where the visitors defied odds of 20/1 and being a goal down to inflict the first home defeat of the season on the Gunners.

Arsenal are 1/2 beat their Portugese opponents in this Group G match with Porto a 6/1 to cause another upset. An Arsenal win would seen them top the Group but it by no means likely to be an easy game for Arsene Wenger’s side. A 1-0 win is the favoured scoreline with bookmaker Paddy Power with Emmanuel Adebayor the 4/1 favourite in the first goalscorer betting.

Paddypower will be refunding all losing first goalscorer, last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast bets if Porto win the game.

September 26, 2008

Wigan welcome Man City to the JJB Stadium on Sunday and with this game live on Sky Sports, there is sure to be plenty of betting interest as punters tune in to watch a Man City side eager to make an impact on the Premier League’s top four following their recent take over. All eyes will be once again on Robinho who has scored two goals in two league starts for the Blues and is a 13/2 chance with Bet365 to score the first goal on Sunday. Fellow Brazillian, Jo, has also showed signs that he is hitting goal scoring form and he is 11/2 to open the scoring in this match.

Whilst most people will be expecting City to win this match, Wigan should not be underestimated. They have a number of good players and more than capable of upsetting the visitors. Wigan are 2/1 to win the match and that is sure to make plenty of appeal for some punters. Man City are likely to feature on many coupons at odds of 11/8 and the draw is 23/10. Amr Zaki is the main goalscoring threat for Wigan, having netted four goals in Wigan’s opening five league games and the Egyptian forward could well be worth a couple of quid to score the first goal of this game at 6/1.

Bet365 refund all correct score, half time/full time and scorecast bets if any game finishes 0-0.

Portsmouth v Spurs Premier League Betting Offer

September 26, 2008

The first game of Sunday’s live Sky Sports double header sees Portsmouth take on Spurs at Fratton Park where both sides will be look at this game as an opportunity to kick start their season. Portsmouth will be looking to bounce back from last weekend’s 6-0 hammering at the hand of Man City, whilst Spurs are still searching for their first league win of the season but will be bouyed by a midweek Carling Cup victory away to Newcastle.

Both these sides had been tipped to challenge for top six finishes at the start of the season, but neither have shown early signs of living up to such expectations. However, both have the players capable of winning this match, which has the potential for a potentially exciting encounter. Portsmouth are the narrow 5/4 favourites with Betfred to take the three points from this game, with Tottenham a 7/4 chance and the draw 9/4.

Jermain Defoe is the 11/2 favourite to score the first goal against his former club on Sunday, which is sure to prove a popular. Fellow Portsmouth striker Peter Crouch is a 6/1 chance as too are the Spurs striking partnership of Darren Bent and Roman Pavlyuchenko.

Joe Cole and Wayne Rooney Betting Offer

September 19, 2008

The Betfred offer for Sunday’s Chelsea v Man Utd betting is a refund on all losing first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast bets place on the game if either Wayne Rooney or Joe Cole scores the last goal of the game.

Both players head into the game in good form, having netted whilst on International duty last week but it is Cole of the two that has already scored in the Premiership this season with Rooney still waiting to get his tally up and running. Rooney is a 15/2 chance to score the last goal with Betfred.com whilst Joe Cole is 10/1 to do the same. With so much talent on the pitch for both teams, the goals could come from just about any of the 20 outfield players but if you do plan to have a bet on this game then such an offer is worth considering as it does provide a certain amount of insurance. Although the Paddypower Offer on this game, where they will be refunding bets if a player is sent off is more appealing.
