World Cup fever is well under way with the draw being made for the 2010 South African World Cup taking place at 17:00 GMT from Cape Town. By the time the draw finishes all the 32 nations taking part will know who they will face in the group stages and the date for every game, so we can start making the calls to our travel agents and booking the days/weeks off work, the tournament kicks off on the 11th June 2010 with the final being played on the 11th July.

The Irish bookmakers Boylesports who are in no way bitter about the actions of a certain French player have a great back offer available on outright betting for the World Cup winner. If the cheating French team win the coveted tournament then they will refund all losing outright bets made on the winning nation.

Out of the 32 teams, Brazil and Spain are the clear favourites, with England and Argentina close behind. South Africa’s home advantage gives them a decent spot in the list but hopefuls New Zealand see themselves at crazy odds of 750/1, but as they say “its a funny old game” anything can happen in the world of football.
