Strangely the Dubai World Championship is part of the 2009 European Tour and takes place from the 19th November through to November 22nd and is taking place at the Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
The event replaces the Order of Merit and it will be contested by the 60 leading money winners, the tournament was originally scheduled to feature a record prize fund of $10 million but this was reduced to only $7.5 million with the winner set to walk away with $1.25 million, not bad for 3 days work!
