Tiger the Favourite in Betting Odds to Roar to Victory in the 2009 US Open Golf

Tiger Woods is as short as 7/4 in the bookmakers odds to win his fourth US Open title and  a fifteenth golf major when he takes to the tee at Bethpage Black in the 2009 US Open.

His last major win came twelve months ago, again in the US Open, when he won despite his knee injury that saw he hang up his clubs for the remainder of 2008. However, Tiger is now back to full fitness and will be hoping to get back to winning ways on the biggest stage.

He returns to the course  where he won his second US Open title in 2002, the Bethpage Black Course at Bethpage State Park, New York State. When victorious in 2002, he was the only player to score under par in the tournament and with that in mind, he looks a sure fire bet to once again be in the running once again in 2009.  The course is considered to e one of the most exciting and difficult course of all the US Open venues used and following the drama of its last visit, it is expected to pose equally as many problems this year.
