The Republic of Ireland take on the Group 7 runners up France in their World Cup play off game on Saturday from Croke Park in Dublin. The match can be watched live on Sky Sports 1 and the coverage kicks off from 7.30pm.
The match is the first leg of the World Cup Qualifier play off games with the return leg happening on 18th November. The Republic have not qualified for a major tournament since the 2002 World Cup and they will be looking at the home advantage in the game to hopefully get some goals in early and secure a place for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
Ireland have already played 10 games in the qualifying stages going unbeaten but only winning 4 games and drawing the other 6 and claiming 18 points. France have played the same amount of games but with 21 points however they did lose 1 game, draw 3 and won 6 giving them a greater winning record.
Paddy Power are running a cash back offer on the game, but this time with a little twist. If the singing phenomenon known simply as JEDWARD are eliminated from this weekends X Factor competition, then they will refund all losing first and last goal scorer bets as well as correct scores and scores cast singles made on the game.
