The Jane Chapple-Hyam trained runner won the 2 mile 4 four handicap on Day One of the Royal meeting in impressive fashion but must shoulder a 5lb penalty for that victory when he lines up at Newcastle Racecourse’s feature race of the flat season on Saturday. He is clearly a horse on the upgrade having landed a hat trick of wins from his three starts so far this season and is 8/1 in the bookmakers odds to make it four on the bounce when he drops to the two mile test that the Northumberland plate presents, but that won’t be a problem at all, thus he is a leading contender providing the extra weight doesn’t take its toll.
