Ladbrokes placing Quevega as favourite for the David Nicholson Mares Hurdle

The David Nicholson Mares’ Hurdle is the final race of day one of the Cheltenham festival which is a grade 2 national hunt race open to mares that are aged four years and over. It will be ran on the old course over a distance of 2 miles and 4 furlongs with nine fences to be jumped, the going for the race today is good – good to soft in places.
Current favourite to win this race according to Ladbrokes is the Ruby Walsh ridden Quevega at odds of just 2/1 with the second favourite being Voler La Vedette ridden by Barry Geraghty at odds of 6/4. Our tip for the race where we will be betting a shiny £2 coin (for a £1 each way bet) will be going on Tom Scudamore’s Arctic Magic at odds of 40/1, we will let you know how we get on!
