Captain Cee Bee is favourite to win the 2010 Irish Independent Arkle Chase

The second race of the opening day of the Cheltenham Festival is the Arkle Chase which is the premier novice chase of the national hunt season. It is a grade 1 race and is open to horses aged 5 years and over. The race this year will be ran on March 16th and the runners will have to cover a distance of 2 miles and take on the 12 fences.
Winners of this race have normally gone on to do well in the Cheltenham Gold Cup and the Queen Mother Champion Chase, last years winner Forpadydeplasterer ridden by Barry Geraghty is set to feature in the Champion Chase. Previous winners of the Arkle have included Moscow Flyer who then went on to win the Champion Chase on two occasions.
Captain Cee Bee is currently showing as favourite at odds of 3/1 with Ladbrokes undoubtedly down the good form it has as the festival where it won the Supreme two years ago, second favourite is Long Run at odds of 5/1.
