Day one of the Aintree Festival kicks off with the Liverpool Hurdle, it is a class 1 race for horses aged four years and over. The race is set to feature 9 runners over a distance of 3 miles and 110 yards with the going set to good to soft. This race only started in 2004 and all five previous winners had come from the top three placed horses in betting stakes.

The current (and hardly likely to change) favourite is last years favourite and winner Big Bucks ridden again by Ruby Walsh and trained by Paul Nicholls. They will be looking to capitalise on the excellent run this horse had at the Ladbrokes World Hurdle during this years Cheltenham Festival. Second favourite is Time For Rupert who was in 33/1 outsider in the Ladbrokes World Hurdle before ending runner up which has seen his odds go to 9/2 for this race. The Freebetsblog tip for this race is 33/1 Kayf Aramis ridden by Paddy Brennan and good odds for an each way bet.
