Formula 1 Championships 2012 Betting – Vettel Favourite For Third Title
November 29, 2011
The dust has now settled on the 2011 Formula One season with the majestic Sebastian Vettel storming to his second consecutive Drivers Championship in style with 11 Grand Prix wins and a whopping total of 392 points, 122 clear of second placed Jenson Button. Vettel will be gunning for his third consecutive Championship in 2012 and judging by his scintillating form of the last two seasons who would back against the talented German at Evens with William Hill.
Vettel’s rivals will be desperate to up their game next season and at least close the gap between themselves and the German. Vettel’s closest challengers, according to the odds, are Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso who are both priced at 9/2 to win the Championship for a second and third time respectively. Hamilton’s season was largely plagued by controversy and below-par performances but he managed to end strongly with a win in the penultimate race in Abu Dhabi. Similarly Alonso didn’t have the best of years, with his sole win coming at Silverstone back in July. The Spaniard will be disappointed with his fourth place finish overall, as will Hamilton with fifth, and both drivers will be looking to bounce back and mount a fierce title challenge next season.
Jenson Button had an excellent second half of the season run with eight podium finishes in the last nine races (including two wins) and the Brit will be eager to carry on that impressive fomr in 2012. Considering the form he was in at the end of last season Button is definitely worth a punt at a tempting 7/1 to win his second Drivers Championship next year.
Once again Mark Webber was overshadowed by Red Bull teammate and will no doubt be frustrated with his single win, which came in the final Grand Prix in Brazil. The Australian can be backed at 12/1 to win next season but in order to do so will need to find the form of 2010, where he narrowly missed out on the title by 14 points. He will be determined to get off to a strong start in his home Australian Grand Prix which begins on 15th March 2012. Elsewhere, Felipe Massa is priced at 40/1, while Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg are both available at 50/1. The 2012 season will also see the return of former world champion Kimi Raikkonen who has signed a two-year deal with Lotus.
Red Bull are the evens favourites in the 2012 Constructors Championship betting, while McLaren will most likely provide their stiffest challenge with odds of 13/8. Ferrari, who haven’t won since 2008, can be found at 5/1, while Mercedes GP are priced at 25/1.

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix – Sebastian Vettel Gunning For 12th Win Of The Season
November 10, 2011
Abu Dhabi Grand Prix - Sunday 13th November, BBC 1, 1pm
This weekend the drivers enter into the penultimate race of the 2011 season at the glitzy 3.45 mile Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Last year’s season-ending race saw Sebastian Vettel expertly fight off the challenge of his closest rivals as he clinched his first Drivers Championship, and he hasn’t looked back since. The 24-year-old has without question been the stand-out driver of 2011 and with a stunning 11 wins to his name this year he will no doubt be gunning for yet another come Sunday’s day-night race. William Hill have installed the German as the odds-on 5/6 favourite to win his third straight Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and on current form it is difficult to envision another outcome.
The real battle will be for second place between Jenson Button (9/2), Mark Webber (7/1) and Fernando Alonso (8/1) and depending on his state of mind the 11/2 priced Lewis Hamilton. McLaren’s team principal Martin Whitmarsh recently came out and said that Hamilton’s form has been affected by the recent impressive performances of his McLaren teammate Jenson Button. Button has enjoyed a late season surge finishing in the top three in six of the past seven races, which has included wins in Japan and Hungary. In contrast Hamilton’s season has been clouded in controversy and misfortune with frequent heated exchanges between himself and Felipe Massa, with a race seemingly failing to go by without the former teammates clashing.
Last year’s race at the Yas Marina Circuit proved that overtaking on this track is very difficult. This means that grid position will be pivotal, giving the racer in pole position a big advantage. It is unlikely to be a thriller but if Button or Alonso can claim pole position then it should set up an interesting race.
Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Race Winner Odds
- 5/6 – Sebastian Vettel
- 9/2 – Jenson Button
- 11/2 – Lewis Hamilton
- 7/1 – Mark Webber
- 8/1 – Fernando Alonso
- 100/1 – Felipe Massa
- 150/1 – Nico Rosberg
- 150/1 – Micahel Schumacher
Sebastian Vettel Hot Favourite In Indian Grand Prix Betting
October 28, 2011
History will be made on Sunday 30th October when India holds its first ever Grand Prix. When the racers line-up for the first time on the Buddh International Circuit the majestic Sebastian Vettel will be eyeing up his 11th win of a truly dominant season. With the Drivers Championship already wrapped up the German superstar would be forgiven for taking his foot of the gas, but with records to be broken he will no doubt be going all out for the win, and William Hill have him as the hot Evens favourite.
The circuit is believed to be one of the fastest on the calendar which should suit McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton. However, the controversial Englishman has suffered yet another set-back, in what has been a disappointing season, after he was penalised with a drop of three grid positions after ignoring double waved yellow flags in practice. Hamilton is available at 6/1 to win the race, with his teammate Jenson Button priced at 4/1 to come away with the victory. William Hill also have odds of 7/4 for either Hamilton or Button to win.
After impressing in Friday’s practice Felipe Massa may be worth a bet at 50/1, while his team mate Fernando Alonso is available at shorter odds of 15/2. Unbelievably Mark Webber has yet to win a single race this season and he is priced at 9/2 to break that duck in India on Sunday.

Fernando Alonso Favourite In Drivers Championship Without Sebastian Vettel Betting
September 23, 2011
The Drivers Championship may effectively be over but there is still an intriguing Drivers Championship Without Sebastian Vettel betting market which could go right down to the wire. Fernando Alonso is the current 15/8 favourite with William Hill. The Spaniard still has extremely slim hopes of beating SebastianVettel in the actual Drivers Championship but realistically he will have to fight it out for second spot. Vettel’s Red Bull teammate Mark Webber is also in the hunt with odds of 11/4 while Lewis Hamilton is priced at 13/5, with his McLaren racing partner Jenson Button available at 10/3.
On Sunday the racers will line-up for the Singapore Grand Prix in what promises to be an exciting race. As always Vettel will go into the race as the clear favourite. The German has simply been outstanding this season and a win in Singapore could possibly secure him his second F1 World Championship. Such is his dominance that he currently has a massive 112 point lead at the top of the standings, which is sure to increase if his excellent form continues.
Alonso will be confident of winning only his second race of the season after being victorious in Singapore twice in the past three years. Hamilton also won here back in 2009 and will be looking to boost his points tally and restore some pride after recent disappointments.

Sebastian Vettel Favourite In Belgian Grand Prix Odds
August 23, 2011
After a 4-week absence Formula One returns to our screens with the Belgian Grand Prix on Sunday 28th August as Jenson Button, Lewis Hamilton and co attempt to close the gap between themselves and the runaway leader Sebastian Vettel. The German has been outstanding in 2011 but his competitors will take small light from recent results. After winning five of the first six races Vettel has recorded only the one win in the last five Grand Prix. However, due to a few second place finishes in the latter races Vettel has in fact increased the points gap between himself and the rest of the pack to a whopping 85 points. With eight races remaining it is vital that the other contenders really rev up their game.
Vettel is of course the 15/8 favourite to win in Belgium. Although, it is McLaren who are the form team, having come out on top in the last two races before the summer break, with Jenson Button winning in Hungary and Lewis Hamilton victorious in Germany. Despite the large points gap between themselves and Vettel, both racers will still harbour hopes of winning the Drivers Championship and a win in Belgium will really boost their chances. Hamilton won a thrilling race in Belgium last year and has been handed odds of 5/2 to win there again this time around, while Button is available at 13/2.
Mark Webber has been largely overshadowed by his Red Bull team mate this season and is still yet to win a Grand Prix, however, his consistency means he is currently second in the Drivers Championship and with odds of 13/2 to win on Sunday is definitely worth keeping an eye out for. Elsewhere Fernando Alonso is priced at 5/2, the 2008 Belgian Grand Prix winner Felipe Massa is 25/1, Nico Rosberg is 100/1 and the six-time winner at the Spa, Michael Schumacher, is the 150/1 outsider.

British Grand Prix Betting Points Towards Another Vettel Success
July 4, 2011
The Formula 1 season has been dominated so far by the Red Bull Team and in particular Sebastian Vettel and the German heads to Silverstone this weekend as the overwhelming favourite to claim yet another success and extend his lead at the top of the Drivers Standings. Vettel is the defending World Champion and he looks better than ever this season having won six of the eight races so far, he looks a sure thing to reclaim his title this season and the bookmakers believe he will go one step closer to that at Silverstone this weekend.
Vettel won a processional race at Valencia at the last Grand Prix and Victor Chandler believe it could be a similar outcome at the British Grand Prix, the online bookies have priced the German as a 4/6 shot to claim the win and at the moment it is hard to argue with that assessment. The Red Bull Team have had the pace all season and there is no reason to believe that will be any different at the British Grand Prix, another win for him will all but seal the title with only nine races of the season gone.
The home fans will be hoping that Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button can have a successful weekend in their McLaren cars but they have shown little sign of matching the pace of the Red Bull team so far this season. Button won a brilliant GP in Canada recently and punters can get a price of 10/1 with VCBet while teammate Hamilton is shorter at 4/1 with the same bookmaker. However, both are realistic about their chances of matching Vettel this weekend and an each-way wager on one of the two may prove to be the more value bet for punters. The British Grand Prix is always one of the highlights of the F1 season and this years race at Silverstone is looking like a potentially classic race as Vettel looks to continue his dominance of the 2011 season.

Jenson Button 17/2 In European Grand Prix Betting
June 24, 2011
Jenson Button sparked the 2011 Formula One season into life after he won a pulsating race at the Canada Grand Prix two weeks ago. The Brit had a blistering finish, catching up with the race leader Sebastian Vettel with only a few laps remaining, before forcing the young German into a rare mistake on the final lap to snatch a dramatic victory. Although Vettel still leads the overall standings by quite some margin, 60 points to be exact, Button’s win will give both himself and the other top drivers a glimmer of hope in an otherwise one sided season to date.
At 13:00 BST on Sunday 26th June the drivers will be revving up their engines as they get ready to roar into action in Valencia for the European Grand Prix. On Friday it was Mark Webber who was the quickest in the first practice. The Australian has been totally and utterly eclipsed by the exploits of his talented team mate Vettel so far, meaning he will be desperate to get a good starting place on the grid in order to have a chance of winning his first race of the season. The 34–year-old can be found at 25/1 with William Hill to win Pole Position, record the Fastest Lap and finish as the Race Winner.
The Valencia street circuit may not be as glamourous as Monaco or as challenging as Montreal but it does offer some good overtaking opportunities which will make it an exciting race. Vettel will once again head into the race as the favourite, with odds of 23/20. Lewis Hamilton will be eager to put his recent controversies behind him and focus on getting his season back on track and is 7/2 to win on Sunday. At 17/2 Hamilton’s McLaren team mate Button looks good value after his exploits in Montreal, while Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso is available at 9/2 to win his first race of 2011.

Monaco Grand Prix Betting Specials
May 27, 2011
The most glamorous and dangerous race on the circuit is upon us this Sunday as the racers prepare for a frantic battle in the streets of Monaco. The eye-catching Monaco Grand Prix is always one of the highlights on the racing calendar due to its spectacular setting, tight corners, elevation changes and unpredictability. Drivers most show an array of skills in order to finish first, with immense bravery and impeccable precision high on that list. Betfred are themselves providing punters with an eye-popping race special, whereby if your chosen selection finishes second to Lewis Hamilton then they will refund all your losing outright bets as free bets!
Sebastian Vettel stormed to his fourth win in five races last week when he held off a spirited challenge from Lewis Hamilton to win the Spanish Grand Prix. The German thus extended his lead at the top of the standings to a now seemingly uncatchable 41 points, and is unsurprisingly the clear favourite in Monaco, with Betfred putting him at evens to win the race. It was his Red Bull team mate Mark Webber who tasted success here last year and could be a good bet at 5/1 to finaly get his season started and win here in 2011.
Fernando Alonso has told his Ferrari team that they desperately need to take some risks in Monaco if he is to have any chance of catapulting himself back into contention in the Drivers World Championship standings. The Spaniard has impressed in practice in Monaco and has the experience of knowing what it takes to win here having done so in 2006 and 2007. The fiery 29-year-old will also be determined to make amends for last weekend when, despite making an exceptional start where he led the first 18 laps, he eventually lost momentum and slumped to a disappointing fifth place finish. Betfred have Alonso available at 6/1 to win here for the first time in four years.
This tight street circuit could favour the McLaren duo, who will both be equally determined to prevent Vettel from recording yet another victory. Betfred have Hamilton at 4/1 to win, while Button has longer odds of 14/1.

Hamilton 7/1 to win Spanish Grand Prix
May 20, 2011
The fifth race of the season roars into action this Sunday in the Spanish city of Barcelona. In the previous race in Turkey Sebastian Vettel won his third race of the season, extending his lead at the top of the F1 Drivers Championship to a staggering 34 points. If Lewis Hamilton and co have any chance of catching the prolific German they desperately need to put pedal to the metal in Spain.
As in every race to date in 2011 Vettel has been installed as the odds-on favourite for the win, with Boylesports pricing the 23-year-old at 8/11 to come away with all 25 points. Hamilton, who looked good in qualifying, is available at good odds of 7/1 to win his second race of the season, while his McLaren team mate Jenson Button is 16/1. Mark Webber was successful in Spain last year and is 11/4 to put in a repeat performance and win there this year and spark his season into life.
The Barcelona track is well known for being very difficult to overtake, with this in mind you would think that it will be hard to beat the driver who starts in pole position. Fernando Alonso, who finished second on this course in 2010, is 10/1 to start the race in pole position and 8/1 to win the race. The Spaniard is lagging back in fifth in the standings and needs a win to get himself back in contention for the Championship, and what better way to kick-start his season then winning on his home patch.
