The Triumph Hurdle opens up the fourth and final day of racing at the 2010 Cheltenham Festival. The race is for novice hurdlers and it is a grade one National Hunt hurdle with the runners covering a distance of 2 miles and 1 furlong with eight hurdles on the course. Past winners of this race have gone on to win the Champion Hurdle, past winners of both events include Persian War and Katchit.

The shortest priced runner in Saturday’s race (4:25 on BBC1) is 11/2 and that is the favourite, Jimmy Styles a Clive Cox trainer horse thought to be ahead of the handicapper and providing he can navigate his way through this large field, should have a big chance of justifying the shorest price tag .
