Who will be the top trainer at the 2011 Cheltenham Festival?

With only days to go before the 2011 Cheltenham Festival punters are already getting excited with the anticipation of four days of quality racing.

Boylesports offering to refund stakes if your horse is placed second during the Cheltenham Festival

The bookmakers Boylesports have launched a promotion on the upcoming Cheltenham Festival.
They are offering to refund bets if the horse you back is placed second during the first four races namely the Supreme Novices Hurdle, Arkle Challenge Trophy, Festival Handicap Chase and the Champion Hurdle.
In last years festival Get Me Out Of Here finished as runner up in the Supreme Novices at odds of 9/2, Somersby was second in the Arkle at odds of 4/1, in the Festival Handicap the 9/2 favourite the Package was pipped to the post and in the Champion Hurdle and Kyhber Kim at odds of 7/1 was second to Binocular. If there are similar results this year in the opening day of the four day festival the Boylesports could be looking to refund in excess of £1 million back to its customers on what is one of busiest horse racing days in the racing calendar.

Stan James offering a standout price on Ruby Walsh being top jockey at Cheltenham

The bookmakers Stan James are offering odds of 7/4 for Ruby Walsh to be again named the top jockey at this years Cheltenham Festival. The Irish jockey has won the coveted award on five previous occasions in 2004, 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010. in 2005 the award went to Graham Lee and in 2007 Robert Thornton picked up the prize. The standard number of wins at the Festival to be crowned winner is normally around the 3 wins mark but in 2009 Ruby Walsh managed to ride home 7 winners.
The four day festival takes place from Tuesday 15th March through to Friday 18th March.
Ruby Walsh has been out of action for sometime with the broken leg he sustained in fall from Corrick Bridge at the Down Royal in November. In the event that Ruby does not make it to Cheltenham then they will refund stakes back to punters that place bet on the market today only.
