England v West Indies Twenty20 Betting – Top Batsman Odds
September 21, 2011
After demolishing India in all three forms of the game England now turn their attention to two Twenty20 matches with West Indies at The Kia Oval. The first of which is on Friday 23rd September while the second is two days later on Sunday 25th. England have been irresistible this summer and will want to cap it off with a couple of fine performances against the West Indies. With captain Stuart Broad ruled out with an injury Graeme Swann will skipper an England side who are the 2/5 favourites with Ladbrokes to win on Friday.
Following his impressive 41 not out on his ODI debut in England’s win against India on Friday Jonathan Bairstow will be brimming with confidence ahead of the West Indies match this Friday. Bairstow has been handed odds of 6/1 to finish the match as the Top England Batsman which is definitely worth a punt considering the form he is in. Craig Kieswetter has been installed as the 7/2 favourite with Ladbrokes, while Tim Bresnan is an outside bet at 25/1.
West Indies have selected a relatively young side to play England as many of their seniors players will be involved in the Champions League Twenty20 in India. Johnson Charles, Miles Bascombe and Marlon Samuels have all been priced at 4/1 to finish the first match as Top West Indies Batsman, while Nkruma Bonner is available at 8/1.

IPL Betting 2011 Point Towards Mumbai Indians and Tendulkar
April 6, 2011
The dust has only just settled on the ICC Cricket World Cup but already we move on and this weekend sees the return of the Indian Premier League with some of the bets players in the world heading back to the sub-continent for the T20 six-hitting feast. Cricket in India is of course on a high at the moment following their success in the 50-over World Cup and many of the stars of that triumphant team will be on display again over the next six weeks across the country which is sure to see the grounds packed to the rafters. The team to watch this year according to the bookies is the Mumbai Indians who have been made the 5/1 favourites with VC Bet to win the trophy for the very first time having finished as runners-up to the Chennai Super Kings last season.
The star of the Mumbai Indians is the Little Master Sachin Tendulkar who despite his age is in the form of his life and will be the player that all the other teams fear in the IPL. There is no surprise to see Tendulkar at the head of the Top IPL Runscorer odds and he can be backed at 12/1 to do just that ahead of fellow World Cup winner Virendher Sehwag who will be playing for the Delhi Daredevils once again. It certainly appears that Mumbai are the team to beat but they will have to overcome Chennai who with MS Dhoni leading them will be looking to defend their title, and that is reflected in their price of 6/1 with Victor Chandler to reclaim the IPL.
It is also worth noting that there are two new teams in the IPL this season and they are the Kochi Tuskers Kerala and the Pune Warriors who should add a new dimension to the fourth edition of the T20 IPL. Of the two new teams it is expected that the Pune Warriors should fare the better with Graeme Smith and Yuvraj Singh the star names for them, anyone wanting to back Pune to go all the way in their debut season can get a price of 8/1 with VC Bet for them to do just that.
Indian Premier League 2011 Outright Win Odds
- 5/1 – Mumbai Indians
- 6/1 – Chennai Super Kings
- 13/2 – Royal Challengers Bangalore
- 7/1 – Kolkata Knight Riders
- 15/2 – Deccan Chargers
- 8/1 – Pune Warriors
- 8/1 – Kochi Tuskers Kerala
- 10/1 – Delhi Daredevils
- 12/1 – Rajasthan Royals
- 16/1 – Kings XI Punjab
