Natalie Cassidy Favourite For Celebrity Big Brother 2012

January 6, 2012

Celebrity Big Brother has exploded back onto our screens and Channel 5 are obviously hoping that the controversial line-up will spice things up a little. With many of the contestants single and looking for love there is likely to be a number of hook-ups which equates to drama, tension and dramatic fall-outs. Former Eastenders star Natalie Cassidy has emerged as the early favourite with the bookmakers. The 28-year-old actress was the first housemate to enter the new-look house and was instantly pounced on by Big Brother and handed out a cringy task. She succeeded with flying colours and will no doubt be a popular contestant in this year’s show. Cassidy has currently got odds of 11/4 with William Hill to be victorious.

TOWIE star Kirk Norcross has followed in the foot steps of his former flame Amy Childs and decided to leave the reality show in pursuit of fame. He is likely to be a hit among the ladies both in and outside the house and can currently be backed at 9/2 to win the show. Former Wales and British Lions rugby star Gareth Thomas is next in the betting at 5/1. The 37-year-old is not only famous for his on-field heroics but for being the first professional rugby union player to come out as gay back in 2009.

The outspoken Denise Welch, a former Coronation Street actress and current Loose Women panelist, is available at 6/1. Another bit of eye candy for the ladies includes So Solid Crew member Romeo (7/1) and the disgraced X Factor contestant Frankie Cocozza (8/1). Frankie is likely to have another love/hate relationship with the public but could well be worth a punt if the love begins to outweigh the hate.

The biggest name in the house is undoubtably Hollywood superstar Michael Madsen who is available at 14/1. Famed for his performance of Mr Blonde in Reservoir Dogs the actor has admitted that he has no idea what Big Brother is, which could make for interesting viewing. He is definitely one to keep an eye on.

Irish model and Kim Kardashian look-alike Georgia Salpa has been priced at 14/1, while singer/dancer/actor Andrew Stone has been handed odds of 16/1. Glamour model and former I’m A Celebrity contestent Nicola McLean can be found with odds of 20/1, with the Playboy twins Kristina & Karissa Shannon at 25/1. The controversial Natasha Giggs, who infamously had an affair with her husband’s famous brother Ryan Giggs, is unlikely to get very far with odds of 25/1.

Formula 1 Championships 2012 Betting – Vettel Favourite For Third Title

November 29, 2011

The dust has now settled on the 2011 Formula One season with the majestic Sebastian Vettel storming to his second consecutive Drivers Championship in style with 11 Grand Prix wins and a whopping total of 392 points, 122 clear of second placed Jenson Button. Vettel will be gunning for his third consecutive Championship in 2012 and judging by his scintillating form of the last two seasons who would back against the talented German at Evens with William Hill.

Vettel’s rivals will be desperate to up their game next season and at least close the gap between themselves and the German. Vettel’s closest challengers, according to the odds, are Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso who are both priced at 9/2 to win the Championship for a second and third time respectively. Hamilton’s season was largely plagued by controversy and below-par performances but he managed to end strongly with a win in the penultimate race in Abu Dhabi. Similarly Alonso didn’t have the best of years, with his sole win coming at Silverstone back in July. The Spaniard will be disappointed with his fourth place finish overall, as will Hamilton with fifth, and both drivers will be looking to bounce back and mount a fierce title challenge next season.

Jenson Button had an excellent second half of the season run with eight podium finishes in the last nine races (including two wins) and the Brit will be eager to carry on that impressive fomr in 2012. Considering the form he was in at the end of last season Button is definitely worth a punt at a tempting 7/1 to win his second Drivers Championship next year.

Once again Mark Webber was overshadowed by Red Bull teammate and will no doubt be frustrated with his single win, which came in the final Grand Prix in Brazil. The Australian can be backed at 12/1 to win next season but in order to do so will need to find the form of 2010, where he narrowly missed out on the title by 14 points. He will be determined to get off to a strong start in his home Australian Grand Prix which begins on 15th March 2012. Elsewhere, Felipe Massa is priced at 40/1, while Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg are both available at 50/1. The 2012 season will also see the return of former world champion Kimi Raikkonen who has signed a two-year deal with Lotus.

Red Bull are the evens favourites in the 2012 Constructors Championship betting, while McLaren will most likely provide their stiffest challenge with odds of 13/8. Ferrari, who haven’t won since 2008, can be found at 5/1, while Mercedes GP are priced at 25/1.

Big Bucks A Short Price With William Hill To Remain Unbeaten Through Another Season

November 24, 2011

No horse has been more dominant in the world of National Hunt racing over the past few years than the great Big Bucks who has proven to be invincible since returning to hurdles at the start of 2009. Trainer Paul Nicholls and connections decided to switch Big Bucks back to the smaller obstacles after he fell in the Hennessy gold Cup in 2008 and it has proven to be a fantastic decision. Since then Big Bucks has won a remarkable three consecutive World Hurdles at the Cheltenham Festival as well as a number of other Grade 1 races which have come in a run of  12 consecutive race wins which is an astonishing feat in such a competitive sport.

The usual route for Big Bucks through a season is the Long Distance Hurdle at Newbury, the Long Walk Hurdle at Ascot, the World Hurdle at Cheltenham and the Liverpool Hurdle at Aintree and all the indications are that he will follow that path once again this season. William Hill are convinced that the Paul Nicholls horse will hold off all challengers once again and he is as short as 3/1 to do just that and keep his unbeaten record over hurdles through untill a possible run at Aintree in April.

The main aim for Big Bucks is of course the World Hurdle at Cheltenham and at this stage he is the hot favourite to claim a fourth successive win in the race, William Hill make him as short as 4/5 to claim the historic win and at the moment it is hard to oppose him. No horse has been able to get close to Big Bucks at Cheltenham over the past few years, his ability to gallop at a strong pace is second to none and it is hard to remember a race where jockey Ruby Walsh has ever had to get serious with him over hurdles. As a betting prospect Big Bucks will always be a tough one for punters as he rarely goes off at anything longer than odds-on which is why backing him to remain unbeaten through the winter may prove to be an excellent piece of value.

2012 Big Bucks Betting Specials with William Hill

  • 3/1 – Big Bucks to remain unbeaten through the season
  • 4/5 – Big Bucks to win the World Hurdle at Cheltenham

Dougie Poynter Fighting For Im A Celebrity Favouritism With Mark Wright

November 23, 2011

It has been an interesting series of Im A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here as always but so far we have no clear favourite for to win the show according to the latest show of betting. There are clearly a number of popular characters in the Jungle but no obvious winner of the show at this stage which has been unlike previous editions of the successful ITV programme in Australia. The Only Way Is Essex star Mark Wright is currently the slight favourite but he has hardly set the jungle alight while the same can be said of McFly bassist Dougie Poynter.

In Poynter and Wright we have two decent guys who will get their fair share of votes from female admirers but neither have taken the show by the scruff of the neck which is reflected in the latest betting with William Hill. The bookmakers rate Mark Wright as the 2/1 favourite at this stage with Poynter hot on his heels at 3/1 with Hills as we approach the half way point of the fascinating series down under. The pair seem to be developing a close friendship in the jungle but according to William Hill they could be enemies fighting it out to be named the new King Of The Jungle come the end of the show.

At this stage it looks like being a straight fight between Wright and Poynter to win the show with Coronation Street star Anthony Cotton looking the only real challenger to them based on the betting. Cotton has a certain amount of popularity from the loyal soap fans and with that in mind he currently priced at 4/1 with William Hill to claim the win but his constant bitching and moaning is likely to hurt his chances as we progress. In all probability we are looking at a straight fight between Mark Wright and Dougie Poynter to be crowned King Of the Jungle for 2011 and at the moment it is tough to pick between the two.

Tiger Woods Major Golf Betting For 2012 Is Competitive With William Hill

November 16, 2011

Despite his spectacular loss of form over the past couple of years, Tiger Woods remains the biggest name in golf and punters are eager to follow the fortunes of the former world number 1 in 2012. Woods has not won a Major Championship since 2008, while he has not picked up any tournament win for over two years but he is still be well backed to add to his 14 Majors in 2012 with William Hill rating Woods as a 4/1 shot to win exactly one Major next season.

At his best Tiger Woods was virtually unbeatable in the big tournaments but his air of invincibility is no longer there as he has dropped outside the worlds top 50 recently, that would have been unthinkable a couple of years ago but he now faces a mammoth task to rejoin the games elite players. Woods has consistently struggled to put together four successive good rounds when it matters and his drought will continue if he fails to rectify that problem quickly. 2012 will be a massive year for Tiger as he bids to climb back up the world rankings but punters wanting to back him to continue his slump can get a price of 1/6 with William Hill about winning exactly no Majors next year.

Tiger does appear to have been free from injury for a little while now and that will stand him in good stead as we head into 2012 and towards the Masters at Augusta in April. Woods has won the Green Jacket on no less than four occasions and he will be desperate to make that number five in April, we know his game suits Augusta if he is at his best but he will need prove he can be accurate off the tea once again. Driving has been a problem for Woods during his slump and if rectifies that then the 16/1 with William Hill.com about him winning exactly two Majors in 2012 could prove to be a nice piece of value. Whatever has gone on around Woods over the past few yearshe remains the star of the game and many will be hoping he regain his best form as soon as possible with 2012 set to be apivitol year for one of the game sgreat players.

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix – Sebastian Vettel Gunning For 12th Win Of The Season

November 10, 2011

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix - Sunday 13th November, BBC 1, 1pm

This weekend the drivers enter into the penultimate race of the 2011 season at the glitzy 3.45 mile  Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Last year’s season-ending race saw Sebastian Vettel expertly fight off the challenge of his closest rivals as he clinched his first Drivers Championship, and he hasn’t looked back since. The 24-year-old has without question been the stand-out driver of 2011 and with a stunning 11 wins to his name this year he will no doubt be gunning for yet another come Sunday’s day-night race. William Hill have installed the German as the odds-on 5/6 favourite to win his third straight Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and on current form it is difficult to envision another outcome.

The real battle will be for second place between Jenson Button (9/2), Mark Webber (7/1) and Fernando Alonso (8/1) and depending on his state of mind the 11/2 priced Lewis Hamilton. McLaren’s team principal Martin Whitmarsh recently came out and said that Hamilton’s form has been affected by the recent impressive performances of his McLaren teammate Jenson Button. Button has enjoyed a late season surge finishing in the top three in six of the past seven races, which has included wins in Japan and Hungary. In contrast Hamilton’s season has been clouded in controversy and misfortune with frequent heated exchanges between himself and Felipe Massa, with a race seemingly failing to go by without the former teammates clashing.

Last year’s race at the Yas Marina Circuit proved that overtaking on this track is very difficult. This means that grid position will be pivotal, giving the racer in pole position a big advantage. It is unlikely to be a thriller but if Button or Alonso can claim pole position then it should set up an interesting race.

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Race Winner Odds

  • 5/6 – Sebastian Vettel
  • 9/2 – Jenson Button
  • 11/2 – Lewis Hamilton
  • 7/1 – Mark Webber
  • 8/1 – Fernando Alonso
  • 100/1 – Felipe Massa
  • 150/1 – Nico Rosberg
  • 150/1 – Micahel Schumacher

Frankie Cocozza Favourite To Be Eliminated Off X Factor

November 1, 2011

X Factor has endured a controversial week of tantrums, judge fallouts, a slump in ratings and a surprise departure in Sophie Habibas. As last week’s shock bottom two highlighted virtually no one (except Janet Devlin) is safe in the competition which is truly engrossing from a betting perspective. The show may have lost out to Strictly Come Dancing in the ratings but it still generates a whirlwind of media attention especially with the likes of Frankie Cocozza and Kitty Brucknell still in the mix.

Ladies man Frankie has faced stinging criticism for his singing ability as well as his for off stage antics but few can deny his entertainment factor. However, the Brighton boy faces a fight to stay in the competition after again being installed as the bookies favourite to be booted off, with odds of Evens with William Hill. Diva Kitty, who survived a sing-off two weeks ago, is next in running to leave with odds of 6/1. The singer has yet to fully connect with the audience and despite her obvious vocal talent she could find herself packing her bags next week. Likewise girl group Little Mix are unlikely to last too much longer and could well be in the bottom two this Sunday, with odds of 6/1 to leave next.

Misha B, a strong favourite before last week’s shock results, now has to bounce back from her set back and regain her swagger as she is definitely one of the best, if not the best singer in the competition. However, some viewers may interpret her confidence for arogance which could explain her position in the bottom two last week. The talented performer currently has odds of 10/1 to depart next, as has Johnny Robinson, who has so far proven a hit on the show. Marcus Collins and Craig Colton have both been handed odds of 14/1 to be eliminated on Sunday.

Janet Devlin remains the favourite in the betting with odds of 5/2 while boy-band The Risk can be backed at 3/1. Despite the furore surrounding her future on the show and also having two acts in the bottom two last week Kelly Rowland is still the bookies favourite to finish as the Winning Manager with odds of 6/4. Gary Barlow is next in the running at 2/1, with Tulisa just behind at 9/4 and Louis Walsh some way off at 9/1.

Sebastian Vettel Hot Favourite In Indian Grand Prix Betting

October 28, 2011

History will be made on Sunday 30th October when India holds its first ever Grand Prix. When the racers line-up for the first time on the Buddh International Circuit the majestic Sebastian Vettel will be eyeing up his 11th win of a truly dominant season. With the Drivers Championship already wrapped up the German superstar would be forgiven for taking his foot of the gas, but with records to be broken he will no doubt be going all out for the win, and William Hill have him as the hot Evens favourite.

The circuit is believed to be one of the fastest on the calendar which should suit McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton. However, the controversial Englishman has suffered yet another set-back, in what has been a disappointing season, after he was penalised with a drop of three grid positions after ignoring double waved yellow flags in practice. Hamilton is available at 6/1 to win the race, with his teammate Jenson Button priced at 4/1 to come away with the victory. William Hill also have odds of 7/4 for either Hamilton or Button to win.

After impressing in Friday’s practice Felipe Massa may be worth a bet at 50/1, while his team mate Fernando Alonso is available at shorter odds of 15/2. Unbelievably Mark Webber has yet to win a single race this season and he is priced at 9/2 to break that duck in India on Sunday.

Race Winner Odds

  • Evens – Sebastian Vettel
  • 4/1 – Jenson Button
  • 9/2 – Mark Webber
  • 6/1 – Lewis Hamilton
  • 15/2 – Fernando Alonso

The Risk Emerge As New Favourites In X Factor Betting

October 19, 2011

Following their excellent rendition of Bruno Mars’ Just The Way You Are boyband The Risk have catapulted to the top of the X Factor betting market as they strive to become the first ever group to win X Factor. The betting is extremely close at the moment with virtually nothing separating the top three. The Risk have had their odds cut to just 9/4 as William Hill install them as the new favourites, while previous favourite Janet Devlin is just behind at 5/2, followed by diva Misha B at 9/2.

Nu Vibe’s hopes of winning a record contract came crashing down on Sunday when the judges opted to keep Frankie Cocozza after both acts had finished in the bottom two of the public vote. Frankie’s disappointing rendition of Coldplay’s The Scientist means that his odds have been lengthened to 33/1 and it now appears that he is out of the running to win the competition unless he can find a way of winning back his now dubious fan base.

Sophie Habibis is definitely one to watch out for as she gradually begins to make her mark in the competition. Most viewers were surprised when Kelly Rolland opted to keep her in ahead of Amelia Lily but it has proved to be a wise move with the London barmaid impressing at the weekend. William Hill have now shortened the 19-year-old’s odds to 10/1. Elsewhere Craig Colton could be in with a shout with odds of just 6/1, as could outsiders Johnny Robinson and Kitty Brucknell – both priced at 33/1 – who have managed to create a web of hysteria and intrigue.

The X Factor Outright Winner Odds

  • 9/4 – The Risk
  • 5/2 – Janet Devlin
  • 9/2 – Misha Bryan
  • 6/1 – Craig Colton
  • 10/1 – Sophie Habibis

  • 25/1 – Rhythmix
  • 33/1 – Kitty Brucknell
  • 33/1 – Frankie Cocozza

PGA Grand Slam of Golf Betting Odds

October 18, 2011

PGA Grand Slam of Golf: Tuesday 18th – Wednesday 19th October

The annual Grand Slam of Golf takes part in Bermuda between the four major champions of 2011. US Masters winner Charl Schwartzel, runnerway US Open Champion Rory McIlroy, British Open victor Darren Clarke and PGA Champion Keegan Bradley are set to go head-to-head in what promises to be an intriguing two-day tournament. All four players are first-time major winners, which adds extra spice to proceedings. Previous winners of the tournament include Tiger Woods, Ernie Els and Jim Furyk but the question is who will be joining that elite list come Wednesday?

The tournament is being held at Port Royal Golf Course and William Hill have installed Rory McIlroy as the 11/8 favourite. The Ulsterman was sensational on route to winning the US Open back in June and if he can emulate the form he was in at the Congressional Country Club then he will be extremely difficult to beat.

US Masters winning Charl Schwartzel is next in the running with odds of 2/1 to win the tournament. The South African has had a fantastic year where he has not only picked up his first Major but had strong performances in the other three, proving his Augusta win was no fluke. The surprise PGA Championship winner Keegan Bradley has been handed odds of 7/2 to come away with the win, while The Open champion Darren Clarke is priced at 11/2.

Grand Slam Of Golf – Tournament Winner

  • 11/8 – Rory McIlroy
  • 2/1 – Charl Schwartzel
  • 7/2 – Keegan Bradley
  • 11/2 – Darren Clarke
