Kell Brook V Matthew Hatton Betting Points To Exciting Fight
March 14, 2012
This weekend sees Kell Brook take on Matthew Hatton in a massive domestic dust up which will decide who is the best welterweight fighter in the country. It is something of a cross roads fight for both men with Kell Brook seemingly on the way to greatness and Matthew Hatton looking for another attempt at a World title after coming so close in the past. All the smart money this week has been on Kell Brook who remains unbeaten and can be backed at skinny odds of 1/8 with Ladbrokes to win the fight by any method.
Brook is one of the rising stars of the fight game in Britain and he will know that an impressive performance against a tough opponent will thrown him right into title contention in the near future. Brook will be looking to use his flashy skills and speed to get the upper hand and the 11/10 with Ladbrokes about him winning the fight on a points decision looks the best value here. There is no doubt that is a big fight for Brook on home turf and he will be eager to impress the watching the world if he is to continue his rise up the world rankings.
Punters should be wary of ignoring Matthew Hatton here who is clearly not as flashy as Brook but is as hard as nails and has plenty more experience on his CV. Hatton has been in with some of the very best and while he has come up short on the big stage he is sure to put up a solid fight on Saturday night. Hatton can be backed at a good looking 5/1 with Ladbrokes to win the fight by any method which could prove to be a nice piece of value.

- 11/10 – Brook to win by TKO or DQ

FA Cup Betting – Tottenham vs Stevenage Odds
March 7, 2012
Tottenham v Stevenage – Wednesday 7th March (ESPN, 19:30pm)
Tottenham take on Stevenage tonight in their FA Cup fifth round replay at White Hart Lane. Stevenage held Spurs to a creditable draw at the Lamex Stadium but it is likely to be a different story in North London. Ladbrokes have Spurs as the odds-on 1/5 favourites for the win, while Stevenage have been handed long odds of 12/1 to record a huge upset, with a draw is available at 11/2.
Tottenham head into tonight’s tie on the back of two costly league defeats, which have virtually wiped out their chances of winning the Premier League. The FA Cup is therefore realistically their only chance of winning some silverware this season and Harry Redknapp will no doubt have his players fired up for the match. Spurs haven’t won the FA Cup since 1991, while Stevenage have never got their hands on the famous. The League One also have their minds on promotion this season and are just three points outside the play-offs with games in hand on those teams above them. However, since the Spurs match they have been unable to post a win, with two defeats and two draws.
Spurs can be backed at 5/1 to claim a 2-0 win and 6/1 to win 3-1. Both a 0-0 and 1-1 draw can be found at 12/1, while a shock 1-0 win for Stevenage is available at 16/1. Emmanuel Adebayor has been priced as the 9/4 favourite to open the scoring, while Jermain Defoe and Louis Saha are both available at 5/2. Gareth Bale is fit to play and both the Welshman and Rafael Van der Vaart have been handed odds of 3/1 to score first, while Stevenage’s Chris Beardsley has odds of 12/1. Although it is worth mentioning that neither side have conceded a goal in the competition so far.

Arsenal Seek To Gun Down Milan
March 6, 2012
Arsenal vs Milan – Tuesday 6th March (Sky Sports 2, 19:45pm)
Arsenal will have to conjure up one of the greatest comebacks in football history if they are to progress through to the last eight of the Champions League. Milan thrashed them 4-0 at the San Siro in the first-leg to virtually end Arsenal’s hopes. The Gunners have been handed odds of 11/10 to win the match and long odds of 18/1 to qualify. Meanwhile Milan are available at 12/5 to come away with the win and the overwhelming 1/150 favourites to progress. Ladbrokes will refund losing first goalscorer bets in the tonight’s clash if Zlatan Ibrahimovic scores. The striker is in fine form having scored a penalty against Arsenal and a hat-trick at the weekend.
Arsenal will be buoyed by recent back-to-back comeback wins against Tottenham and Liverpool. They will also draw inspiration from Deportivo La Coruna who claimed a stunning comeback against Milan in 2004. The Spanish club lost 4-1 in the San Siro but stormed back in the second-leg to record an unbelievable 4-0 win, giving them a 5-4 aggregate victory. The Gunners have long odds of 50/1 to record a 4-0 win and 66/1 to win 5-0. A more realistic scoreline is a 2-1 home win at 7/1, while a 1-1 draw may be worth a bet at 5/1.
Arsenal will need a miracle to qualify but in their ranks they have the scintillating Robin van Persie who will be gunning to add to his tally of 31 goals so far this season. The in-form Dutchman has been priced as the 7/2 favourite to open the scoring at the Emirates. Gervino is available at 8/1, while both Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain can be backed at 9/1. Milan’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic looks a good bet at 5/1 to score first, with Robinho at 7/1 and Maxi Lopez at 8/1.

Casey Stoner The One To Beat In 2012 Moto GP Championship Betting
March 5, 2012
The new season of Moto GP is fast approaching and all the signs are that Casey Stoner is once again the rider to beat as we head towards the first race in Qatar at the start of April. The sport really has taken off over the past few years and we can look forward to no less than 18 races in 2012 with the betting market proving more popular than ever with motor sport punters. All eyes are on defending champion Stoner though with Ladbrokes making the Aussie a 10/11 shot to claim the title.
There is no doubt that Casey Stoner was the dominant force in 2011 with the Aussie winning a remarkable ten races in what was a bit of a procession and most are expecting a similar season in 2012. Punters looking for a rider to oppose Stoner will need to look no further than Jorge Lorenzo who will be looking for his second Moto GP Championship having won for the first time in 2010. Lorenzo is always competitive and while he will need to improve on 2011 to compete with Stoner he could prove to be a bit of value at 3/1 with Ladbrokes as we head towards the first race.
Early season testing has shown Stoner at his very best which is reflected int he odds but as far as the fans are concerned then it is Valentino Rossi who remains the King of Moto GP. The Italian has been a Moto GP Champion on seven occasions but has plenty to do if he is to add number eight in 2012, Ladbrokes make Rossi a 7/1 shot which in truth does reflect his chances against the in form and young Casey Stoner.
Moto GP Championship 2012 Outright Win Odds with Ladbrokes
- 10/11 – Casey Stoner
- 3/1 – Jorge Lorenzo
- 5/1 – Dani Pedrosa
- 7/1 – Valentino Rossi

Manchester United vs Ajax Odds – Park Ji-Sung Special
February 23, 2012
Manchester United vs Ajax – Thursday 23rd February (Channel 5, 20:05)
Manchester United go into tonight’s second-leg against Ajax with a comfortable lead following their 2-0 win in Amsterdam last week. United may still be disappointed at being knocked out of the Champions League but they will regard the Europa League as another opportunity to win more silverware. They have been installed as the hot 4/11 favourites to win the match, while Ajax have long odds of 8/1, with a draw available at 7/2. If Park Ji-Sung scores during the match then Ladbrokes will refund first goalscorer bets.
Goals from Ashley Young and Javier Hernandez saw Fergie’s men cruise to a 2-0 win in the first-leg and they should once again be too strong for their opponents, with United currently in great form having won seven of their last nine matches. Fergie may decide to rest a few players but will be fully aware of the potential threat of the Dutch champions, as Ajax will be gunning for an early goal which would get them back in the tie and liven up the contest.
United look a good bet at 5/1 to once again record a 2-0 win, while a 3-1 victory can be found at 11/1. Ajax need a 2-0 win to take the tie into extra-time, with this scoreline priced at a lengthy 40/1. With Wayne Rooney absent with a throat infection, Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez have emerged as the 4/1 favourites in the First Goalscorer market. Meanwhile Nani coule be worth a punt at 7/1. Ajax will look to Nicolas Lodeiro, Thulani Serero and Miralem Sulejmani for goals, with all three players available at 12/1 to open the scoring.

Man City vs Porto Odds – Adam Johnson Special
February 22, 2012
Man City vs Porto – Wednesday 22nd February (ESPN, 17:00)
Manchester City host Porto at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday looking to book their place in the last 16 of the Europa League. Sergio Aguero’s late winner at the Estádio do Dragão last week puts City firmly in the driving seat against the holders Porto who face a mammoth task to stay in the competition. Ladbrokes have City as the hot 8/12 favourites to win the match, while Porto can be backed at 9/2 for the win, with a draw available at 13/5. Ladbrokes will refund losing first goalscorer bets if Adam Johnson scores at any time.
Aguero’s late goal means City take a 2-1 lead into the second-leg and while they should be too strong for their opponents they will be wary of their attacking threat. City have a fantastic record at the Etihad Stadium this season, winning 16 of their 18 matches in front of their home supporters. Robert Mancini’s men look a good bet at 7/1 to win the match 2-0, while they are available at 12/1 to record a 3-1 win. Porto have odds of 16/1 to take the tie into extra time with a 2-1 win in 90 minutes, with a 1-1 priced at 11/2.
Free scoring City have been handed odds of 13/8 to win with three or more goals scored in the match. Sergio Agüero and Mario Balotelli can both be backed at 3/1 to be the First Goalscorer, with Edin Dzeko priced at 11/2. On-loan midfielder David Pizarro may be given a chance to shine and along with Yaya Toure is available at 7/1 to open the scoring, while Adam Johnson can be backed at 9/1 to score first. Hulk has been given odds 8/1 to grab the game’s first goal and make the tie interesting, while Djalma has odds of 10/1.

David Haye and Dereck Chisora Odds On To Meet In The Ring
February 20, 2012
It has been a tough few days for British Boxing both in and out of the ring with Dereck Chisora first of all losing a unanimous points decision to Vitali Klitschko on Saturday night, before getting involved in a brawl with fellow Brit David Haye in the post fight press conference. Both Fighters have been widely condemned for their actions but already attention is now turning to a potential clash between the pair with the interest in the fight sure to be sky high.
Haye was clearly at the press conference to promote a potential fight with Vitali Klitschko in the Summer but Dereck Chisora took exception to Haye’s presence in the room. A punch up ensued between the two fighters and Ladbrokes now rate Chisora as the 4/7 to be David Haye’s next opponent in the ring despite the fact that The Hayemaker is technically retired. The interest surrounding the fight will be off the chart following the brawl in Munich and assuming both fighters do not get lengthy bans it looks like a no brainer with the pair almost compelled to settle their differences in the ring.
David Haye had been hoping to come out of retirement to meet Vitali Klitschko in the summer and that remains a possibility for the former undisputed Cruiserweight World Champion. Ladbrokes rate Vital Klitschko as a 15/8 shot to be the next fight for David Haye and that could provide plenty of value if the money is right for both men, Vitali will know that a fight with Haye is the one that can generate the big money for him before he retires. Haye clearly wants to have a big fight in the Summer following his loss to Wladimir Klitschko last year but he may end up facing Dereck Chisora in a grudge match before he gets the chance to take on one of the Kltischko brothers one more time.

Ajax vs Man Utd (Channel Five, 18:00)
After their shock Champions League group stage exit Man Utd will be determined to make amends and win the Europa League. They have been handed a very tricky round of 32 tie against Dutch giants Ajax and Fergie will no doubt be looking for his side to get off to a promising start and take an advantage back to Old Trafford. United have been installed as the 4/5 favourites to come away with the win tonight, while Ajax have been handed odds of 7/2, with a draw priced at 5/2. United look a good bet at 8/1 to win 2-1 at the Amsterdam Arena, while a 1-1 draw is available at 13/2. Wayne Rooney leads the First Goalscorer betting with odds of 7/2, while Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck can be backed at 9/2. Labrokes will refund losing first goalscorer bets in the match if Hernandez scores at any time.
FC Porto vs Man City (ITV 1, 20:05)
Similarly to rivals Man Utd, Man City have been drawn against difficult opponents in the Europa League as they face the defending champions FC Porto. Both City and Porto have been handed odds of 13/8 to win the first-leg, whereas a draw is available at 9/4. City certainly have the firepower to get a couple of valuable away goals at the Estádio do Dragão, especially with the return of Mario Balotelli who can be backed at 9/2 to open the scoring. Sergio Aguero is also priced at 9/2, while Edin Dzeko has odds of 5/1. Meanwhile, if the Samir Nasri scores at any time Ladbrokes will refund losing first goalscorer bets. It looks like it is going to be a closely fought fixture making a 1-1 draw a tempting bet at 6/1.
Stoke vs Valencia (ESPN, 20:05)
Stoke City lock horns with Spanish side Valencia at the Britannia Stadium. This is unchartered territory for The Potters and they would love nothing more than to beat the European heavyweights in front of their home supporters in order to give them a fighting chance of progressing to the last 16. Stoke may head into the match on the back of four consecutive league defeats but they have so far impressed in Europe having lost just one of their 10 matches so far. Valencia head into the game as the 6/4 favourites, while Stoke can be backed at 15/8 to spring an upset, with a draw available at 11/5. Valencia’s Roberto Soldado is available at 9/2 to open the scoring, whereas Peter Crouch and Jonathan Walters have been handed odds of 6/1. Ladbrokes will refund losing first goalscorer bets in the match if Crouch scores at any time.

Vitali Klitschko v Dereck Chisora World Title Fight Betting Specials
February 15, 2012
This weekend sees Vitali Klitschko defend his WBC World Heavyweight Championship title against Dereck Chisora in Munich, Germany. The Ukrainian and his brother have dominated the heavyweight divisions for the last decade or sop and according to the betting we are in for another one sided performance this weekend with Klitschko the hot favourite to claim the win. Punters wanting to back Vitali can get a price of 1/14 with Ladbrokes about him winning the fight by any method which reflects the vast difference in experience between the two fighters.
Chisora faces a mammoth task if he is to wrestle the world titles from the big Ukrainian and on the basis of his record he is currently available at 8/1 with Ladbrokes to win the fight by any method. The brash Londoner has vowed to come out all guns blazing on Saturday night but while he is clearly a decent fighter he has done nothing in his career so far to suggest he has the tools to take out the 40-year-old World Champion.
Chisora will be hoping that Klitschko is running out of steam at the age of 40 but in truth it is hard to look past another comfortable win for the older of the two brothers. Vitali will look to break down his much shorter opponent with his tried and tested jab before looking to finish him off in the mid rounds of the fight. We like the look of Vitali Klitschko to win the fight by TKO and punters can back that to happen at a short looking 2/7 with Ladbrokes.
Vitali Klitschko v Dereck Chisora World Title Fight Odds with Ladbrokes
- 1/14 – Vitali Klitschko to win the fight by any method
- 8/1 – Dereck Chisora to win the fight by any method
- 33/1 – Draw
- 2/7 – Klitschko to win by TKO or DQ
- 10/3 – Klitschko to win on points
- 12/1 – Chisora to win by KO or TKO

Middlesbrough vs Sunderland Odds – Fraizer Campbell Anytime Goal Special
February 8, 2012
Middlesbrough vs Sunderland – Wednesday 8th February (ITV1, 19.45)
The second installment of the Tees-Wear derby takes place tonight as Middlesbrough play Sunderland at the Riverside Stadium in their FA Cup fourth round replay. Boro managed to hold Sunderland to a 1-1 draw at the Stadium of Light just over a week ago and with home advantage tonight they will be hoping to upset their North East rivals and dump them out the cup. The winners will set up a fifth round tie at home to Arsenal. Sunderland go into the match as the 19/20 favourites, while Boro can be backed at 3/1, with a draw available at 23/10. Ladbrokes will refund losing first goalscorer bets if Fraizer Campbell scores at any time.
Sunderland have been on fire under Martin O’Neill who has remarkably taken them from relegation strugglers to eighth in the league. The Black Cats have lost just once in their last ten matches in all competitions and have won three of their last four trips on the road. O’Neill has stated his intent to win the FA Cup and will be confident of coming away with a victory tonight. Boro have hit a rocky patch of late and are without a win in five matches. They won just one of their last eight games and will be without striker Scott McDonald, while Marvin Emnes, Faris Haroun and Barry Robson are all doubts.
Sunderland are unbeaten in the last five meetings between the clubs and haven’t lost away to Boro in their last three trips to the Riverside. The previous two clashes between the teams have ended 1-1 and that result is available at 11/2 to happen tonight in 90 minutes. Due to the contrasting form of both teams Sunderland are the hot favourites to win the tie and have been priced at 8/1 to win 2-0 and 7/1 to win 1-0. Boro’s attacking options are slim and they could struggle to find the back of the net. However, this is the FA Cup and anything can happen, with a Boro 1-0 win priced at 7/1.
The in-form Fraizer Campbell and Stephane Sessegnon have been installed as the 5/1 favourites to open the scoring at the Riverside Stadium. Campbell has scored twice since his return from injury, including the equaliser against Boro, while Sessegnon has been at the heart of their attacks in recent weeks. Connor Wickham has been handed odds of 6/1 to score first, while Dong Won Ji is available at 7/1. With the 8/1 priced Marvin Emnes an injury doubt, Lukas Jutkiewicz (also at 8/1) could be the way to go for Boro.
