Sam Faiers The Early Celebrity Big Brother 2012 Favourite
December 22, 2011
Ever since Channel Five won the rights to Big Brother earlier this year they have really pushed the show with the latest edition of Celebrity Big Brother ready to hit our screens in the New Year. It will be second celebrity edition of the show on the Channel and predictably the early favourite is another member of the The Only Way Is Essex cast with Sam Faiers tipped to enter the house and claim the win. This comes after the relative success of the likes of Amy Childs who was also on BB and Mark Wright who also left Essex for the lure of reality TV to perform well in the jungle.
It has to be said that the final list of housemates is yet to be confirmed although the rumour that Sam Faiers is getting ready to enter the house is gathering momentum. Faiers is another popular member of the TOWIE cast and at this early stage is the 5/1 favourite with Boylesports win the show which could prove to be a good piece of value. It is however worth noting that while Amy Childs and Mark Wright have proven popular on reality TV, neither of them won their shows despite being the early favourites to do so which is a warning to fans of Sam Faiers.
Punters wanting to find more value further down the list may want to have a closer look at Chipmunk who if he enters the house is likely to prove a popular housemate with the younger Big Brother audience. The rapper has a number of big hits over the past 12 months and can be backed at a good looking 9/1 with Boylesports to claim the latest Celebrity Big Brother series. Channel Five will be eager to get one or two big names into the house this time around as they look to keep viewing figures up, this will be the third series of the show since August and only star names will ensure that viewers do not lose interest.

Kauto Star Confirmed For Long Run Rematch In King George Chase
December 13, 2011
Last month Kauto Star produced one of the most memorable performances in recent memory to roll back the years and win the Betfair Chase and connections have now confirmed the 11 year-old will take his chance in the King George on Boxing Day. The Dual Gold cup hero is a four-time winner at Kempton and his participation is exactly what the race needs as he gets ready to take on Long Run once again. It was Kauto who came out on top last time out at Haydock but the younger Long Run was the star last season as he won the King George and the Gold Cup in a remarkable few months for connections.
Long Run looked like he needed the race at Haydock last time out and should improve in time for the defence of his King George but all the sentimental money will go on Kauto Star who is without doubt the nations favourite horse. After Paul Nicholls confirmed Kauto for the race the bookmakers trimmed him for Kempton and he is now as short as 4/1 with Boylesports to win a record fifth King George Chase. The Champion Trainer has also confirmed that his long time jockey Ruby Walsh will be on board the horse with Daryl Jacob given the plum ride on board stable mate Master Minded who will also take his chance.
While many punters will have a few quid on Kauto Star it has to be said that Long Run remains the justified favourite after his comfortable win in the race last season. He blew the field away in style and although he was below his best in the Betfair Chase, Long Run is still the 6/4 favourite with Boylesports to claim the win for the second successive year. The Nicky Henderson horse has age on his side as he is only just about to turn seven and might still be improving but the hearts of many racing fans will be with the great Kauto Star as he goes into battle at Kempton for what is likely to be the final time.

Ronnie O’Sullivan The Favourite In Tight UK Snooker Championship Betting
November 14, 2011
The UK Snooker Championship is just around the corner as the best players in the world get ready for the second biggest tournament in the game and at this stage the betting is looking as competitive as ever. Snooker has never been more open than it is at the moment but a familiar face can be found at the head of the market, Boylepsorts currently rank the four times Champion as the 6/1 favourite to lift the title in York.
There are a number of players fighting for favouritism behind The Rocket and they include the likes of Mark Selby, John Higgins, Mark Williams and Neil Robertson who are all more than capable of winning the tournament if they bring their A game. Mark Williams is of particular interest has he continues to play towards his best having shot back up the rankings over the past couple of years. Williams is a former World Number one as well as a double World Champion and punters can back the Welshman to win the UK Championships this year at a nice price of 15/2 with Boylesports to take his first UK Championship.
The hottest property in Snooker at the moment is young Judd Trump who continues to set the tour alight with a number of impressive performances and will be searching for his second ranking title in York after collecting the China Open last season. The highlight of Trump’s career so far saw him make it to the World Championship final last season and many expect him to be at the top of the game for many years to come, the man from Bristol can be backed at a good looking 14/1 with Boylesports.com to take the win. It has to be said that this is a difficult time for Snooker punters with so many players in with a chance but at the same time their is plenty of value on offer in a competitive market.

Long Run Evens For King George Chase After Initial Entries Announced
November 10, 2011
The initial entries for King George Chase at Kempton have been announced and there is no surprise to see Long Run the hot favourite to win the race for the second consecutive year. The Nicky Henderson horse had a wonderful campaign last year in winning the King George and the Gold Cup at Cheltenham and many believe he will do the same double this season with the bookmakers believing he will have too much for the field at Kempton on Boxing Day. At the first stage of declarations we have 24 entries for one of the most prestigious races of the season and outside of Long Run we also have a number of interesting contenders who will be hoping to mix it with the favourite at Christmas.
Long Run realised his potential last season on the King George when he routed a top class field at just six he is probably still improving which is a scary thought for his rivals. At the moment Long Run is the Evens favourite with Boylesports to claim the win at Kempton and at the moment it is hard to argue with that assessment as we look for challengers to his crown. One that punters hope will take Long Run on is the great Kauto Star who may take his chance at Kempton for the last time, the Paul Nicholls horse is a four-time winner of the race and although he is clearly past his best he may still have one big run left in him.
Another interesting potential King George runner on Boxing Day is the excellent Master Minded who this season is being stepped up in trip for the first time. The dual Champion Chaser is as classy as any horse out there and if he puts his best foot forward could be a major player on Boxing Day, at the moment Master Minded can be backed at 10/1 with Boylesports to take the win and that could prove to be an interesting price. The King George is without doubt the most prestigious chase of the season outside of the Gold Cup and falling as it does on Boxing Day it really is one of the highlights of the racing calendar. There will be a massive crowd at Kempton for the while the betting turnover will also be substantial and most of that attention will be firmly on the current champ, Long Run.

October 10, 2011
The final cluster of Euro 2012 qualifying matches take place on Tuesday and with a number of groups still unresolved it promises to be a night of pure drama and tension. With England already through and having played all their matches attention will turn to the likes of Scotland and Republic of Ireland who will learn their fates when the final whistle has been blown. Boylesports are offering a fantastic special whereby if your players scores the second goal in Spain v Scotland, Bulgaria v Wales or Italy v Northern Ireland, then they will refund your losing first goalscorer stake on that match
Scotland still have their fate in their own hands in Group I but, with their final game away to the defending World and European champions Spain, the odds are certainly stacked against them. Boylesports have Spain as the odds on 1/6 favourites for the win, while Scotland have outside odds of 16/1, with a draw priced at 6/1. If Czech Republic lose away to Lithuania then Scotland will definitely be in the play-offs, however, you feel that the Scots will need to come away with at least a point to have any hope of going through. They will therefore be placing their faith in striker Kenny Miller and midfielder Craig Mackail-Smith who both have odds of 12/1 to score the first goal of the game. Spain have a formidable attack, with David Villa and Alvaro Negredo priced at 11/4 to open the scoring, and Fernando Torres at 7/2.
Republic of Ireland need a point at home to Armenia in order to go through to the play-offs. However, Ireland are still in with a chance of finishing top of Group B if they win the match and Russia lose at home to Andorra. Boylesports have Ireland priced at 8/11 to win, with a draw available at 5/2. Armenia have been handed offs of 4/1 to come away with the win.
Nigel Worthington will take charge of his final match as Northern Ireland manager on Tuesday after deciding to step down at the end of the Euro 2012 qualifiers. Northern Ireland can no longer qualify for the Finals but will be looking to put in a positive performance away to Group C winners Italy. The yface a tough task with long odds of 16/1, with Italy the 2/11 favourites. A draw would be a very impressive result at 9/2. David Healy is available at 12/1 to open the scoring while Italy’s Giuseppe Rossi is the 5/2 favourite to score first.
Like Northern Ireland, Wales cannot qualify for Euro 2012 and will be playing for pride in their final Group G match away to Bulgaria. After a torrid start, where they lost their opening four games, Wales have recovered somewhat with two wins in three matches and if the beat Bulgaria they have a good chance of finishing third. Boylesports have Wales at 3/1 to come away with the three points, while Bulgaria are the 10/11 favourites, with a draw priced at 11/4. Craig Bellamy and Steve Morison are available at 7/1 to score first while Gareth Bale has been handed odds of 8/1.

Presidents Cup Betting Shows The USA With A Slight Edge Over International Team
September 29, 2011
The Presidents Cup in golf may not hold the same prestige as the Ryder Cup but it does remain an important tournament on the calendar as the USA Team get ready to take on a team of players from outside of Europe. The Presidents Cup has been dominated by the United States side since it was first held in 1994 with the International Team only picking up the win once in 1998 and it is the US Team who are the warm favourites to win again this season with the matches taking place in Melbourne in November. It gives the US Team a great warm up to the Ryder Cup next year and captain Fred Couples has a strong team at his disposal including Tiger Woods who has been awarded a wild card for the tournament, they will head down under as the warm favourites to take the win.
Fred Couples is a well respected player on the US Tour and he will be leading the side for the second time having led them to success two years ago in San Francisco, the bookmaker Boylesports make the US Team the hot favourites to win the matches and they can be backed at 8/13 to claim the Presidents cup Outright in Melbourne. All eyes will be on the form of Tiger Woods who has continued to slip down the rankings over the past few months and he will be looking to regain his best form in Australia, Woods does have a good record in the Presidents Cup and he will be hoping the tournament will kick start his flagging career.
The International Team take the Presidents Cup very seriously and although they don’t have a great record in the tournament they will be hopeful of improving that record this year, Captain Greg Norman looks to have a strong team this time around and they are sure to be competitive in Australia. Norman will be looking to the Aussie contingent in his team to lead from the front with Jason Day, Adam Scott and Geoff Ogilvy some of the star names on the International squad for Melbourne. If they and others perform well they could run the US Team close and that is reflected in their latest price of 6/5 with Boylesports to claim their first win since 1998. The Presidents Cup is a growing event on the golfing calendar and there seems to plenty of media attention on the tournament this season which can only be a good thing, there is no doubt he US Team looks stronger on paper but we feel it could prove to a little bit tighter than the previous few years.

September 21, 2011
The audition stage for the 2011 X Factor series has finally come to an end and we can now start to get a real sense of the acts who are likely to be featuring on the live shows, there have been a number of stand out acts so far with the girls category looking particularly strong at this stage. One girl who has jumped towards the head of the Outright Winner betting recently is young Amelia Lily who was highly impressive when auditioning, Lily can be backed at 6/1 with Boylesports to go all the way and win the competition and she looks to have every chance of developing into a top recording artist.
Lily impressed the judges and she is now fighting it out with Janet Devlin for X Factor favouritism with the bookmakers, Devlin impressed the judges during the first week of auditions and her unique style is sure to see her become a popular performer during the live stages. Devlin was installed as the favourite a few weeks back and she continues to hold that position with Boylesports and is currently priced at 5/1, much will depend on how she handles the pressure of the live shows but the signs are that she will be the one to beat and all the judges will be keen to have her in their category.
The girls category certainly seems to be the strongest one at the moment with Jade Richards another major contender to consider according to the latest show of betting, it would be no surprise to see her join Devlin and Lily as the three girls to go forward to the love shows and she looks capable of holding her own The down to earth Scot wowed the judges during her audition and she could have the edgy sound that might set her apart from the field, at the moment Boylesports rate her as a 8/1 chance to go all the way and that could prove to be a nice piece of value. The judges will be keeping their fingers crossed as they wait to hear which category they will be given to mentor but at this stage it looks as though the girls have it sown up with three potential winners emerging after the audition stage and it will be fascinating to see which of them pushes on towards X Factor success.

Much of the off season was spent with the players and owners in conflict but thankfully for all involved that has now been cleared up and we can look forward to another competitive season with Superbowl XLVI the long term aim. The Patriots have won the Superbowl three times in their history which each of those Championships coming in the 21st Century, they are led by star quarter-back Tom Brady and bookmaker Boylesports make him and the Patriots the favourites to pick up another Superbowl this season.
Over the past ten years the Patriots have grown into one of the premier franchises with Tom Brady leading the line and his form will be key to their chances of another Superbowl success, last season they were the AFC East Champions but they will be hoping to go all the way to the Championship game in Indiana this campaign. It would be a major surprise if the Patriots did not have a good season but in such a competitive betting market their price of 6/1 with Boylesports to win the Superbowl may prove to be a little on the short side. One of their main rivals as always will be the Green Bay Packers who won the Superbowl as recently as 2010 and are being tipped by many to have another stellar season in this year, the Packers are one of the most famous teams in the NFL and they look the team to beat in the NFC with many predicting a showdown with the Patriots in the Superbowl.
According to the betting it si shaping up to be one of the most competitive NFL season’s in living memory with any number of teams capable of going on a run and heading to the play-offs full of chances. Outside of the big two it is also worth taking a closer look at the New Orleans Saints who remain one of the strongest franchises in the league having won the Superbowl for the first and only time in 2009. Serena Williams Hot Favourite In US Open Betting
August 18, 2011
2011 US Open: 29th August – 11th September
The fourth and final Grand Slam of 2011 is soon upon us and the three-time US Open Champion Serena Williams has been installed as the bookies favourite for the US Open, with Boylesports pricing her at 6/4 to come away victorious from Flushing Meadows.
The younger Williams sister has had a difficult past year where she has had to battle back from injury and illness. The 29-year-old has come on heaps and bounds since her return to action in June when she was soundly beaten in the fourth round at Wimbledon by Marion Bartoli. Williams has taken the US hard court season by storm winning back-to-back titles – Standord Classic and the WTA Rogers Cup – thus sending a stark reminder to her rivals of what she is capable of. Her serve is back on song as is her movement around the court, which makes her a genuine contender in New York. As a result of her improved form she has risen up to 31st ranking and it won’t soon be long till she is back in the top 10.
The Wimbledon Champion Petra Kvitova is next in the running with odds of 6/1. She is followed by Victoria Azarenka, who is priced at 8/1 and the 2006 Champion Maria Sharapova at 10/1. Sharapova’s odds represent good value as she is playing some great tennis at the moment, and as he recent run to the Wimbledon Final suggests, she is close to reaching her peak after a mixed couple of years. With Serena bursting back on the scene the focus, for once, has been off the World No.1 Caroline Wozniacki, which will come as a welcome relief to the 21-year-old. Throughout the last year the Dane has had to frequently answer questions on when she is going to win a Grand Slam, which she has so far failed to do. With all the build-up talk on other players, at 14/1 she looks like a good punt. She has one of the best all round games in women’s tennis and is also very consistent making her a real threat on all surfaces.
The French Open Champion and Australian Open Finalist, Li Na, is definitely one to watch. The 29-year-old had a fantastic 2011 so far and at 16/1 could well be worth a bet. Elsewhere Venus Williams can be found at 25/1 while Samantha Stosur has odds of 28/1. If you are after an outside bet the former women’s No.1 Ana Ivanovic is available at 80/1. The Serb recently joined up with the former LTA head coach Nigel Sears and providing her game is back on track she could spring an upset or two.
Tournament Outright Odds
- 6/4 – Serena Williams
- 6/1 – Petra Kvitova
- 8/1 – Victoria Azarenka
- 10/1 – Maria Sharapova
- 14/1 – Caroline Wozniacki
- 16/1 – Li Na

England Overwhelming Favourites To Win India Test Series
August 3, 2011
Cricket greats such as Nasser Hussain have described the current England Test team as the best he’s ever seen following their emphatic Second Test match victory over India. England’s batsman and bowlers put on an exceptional display as they dismantled India in crushing fashion. England now just need one more win in the four-match Test Series to propel them above India to the status of ICC World Number One Test Team. Andrew Strauss and co can achieve this fantastic feat with a victory against India in their Third Test match at Edgbaston, which begins on Wednesday 14th August.
Boylesports have England as the heavy 11/10 favourites to win the Third Test match, while India are priced at 7/2, with a draw 13/8. Alastair Cook, Kevin Pietersen, Jonathan Trott and captain Andrew Strauss are all available at odds of 4/1 to finish the Third Test as England’s Top Batsman. However, we would recommend a punt on the in-form Ian Bell at 5/1 following his dazzling 159 at Trent Bridge.
With odds of 7/2 Tim Bresnan, who grabbed his first five wicket haul in Test cricket in the Second Test, looks a good bet to finish as England’s Top Bowler at Edgbaston. James Anderson and the electric Stuart Broad can be found at 9/4, with Graeme Swann handed odds of 7/2.
If England continuing to improve at this rapid rate then they certainly can be defined as one of the greatest England teams of all time. Not only have they got a much feared batting line-up and ferocious bowling attack but, they have an exciting and hugely talented all-rounder in Stuart Broad, who is now establishing himself as one of the best in the world. England to win the Test Series 4-0 definitely looks tempting at 11/4, while Matt Prior is a surprise 4/1 to finish the Test Series as England’s Top Batsman.
