It’s been a sorry month in the world of politics following the breaking of the expenses scam by the Daily Telegraph;  it has led to Members of Parliament resigning and public opinion of the UK Government bordering on that of what the French thought of the Aristocracy in the 1700′s.

MPs and have been claiming for £2500 worth of TVs, claiming for mortgages they have already paid off and even repair work on their moats, whilst we worry about the post it notes we borrowed out of the stationary cupboard and that laptop that’s forgotten to go back to the office!

The latest casualty is the Speak of the House of Commons Mr Michael Martin who has resigned his position, Paddy Power have started a book on who will be his replacement.   Our opinion is it needs to be someone all parties trust like Vince Cable or another MP that has claimed no expenses former actress Glenda Jackson.
