Its all over for another year now and Joe McElderry came out as the winner of X Factor 2009 beating the one time favourite Olly Murs, McElderry was at one point at odds of 10/1 to win the contest, if only a time machine can be invented!
However it is not always cut and dry that by winning the X-Factor that you will become the biggest pop star in the country, past contestants like Alexandra Burke and Leoni Lewis may have had some success but where are the likes of Shane Ward and Leon Jackson now, it was reported in the press earlier in the year that the first X Factor winner Steve Brookstein is now entertaining diners by singing in a pizza restaurant.
