England and Ireland are evenly match for Six Nations tie
February 26, 2010
Both teams have not had the strongest start to this years Six Nations campaign, they have still managed to grind out results but neither team has displayed the quality of Rugby that we have been accustomed to and know that they can deliver. Case in point was the shocking England game against Italy which saw living legend Jonny Wilkinson fail to deliver on several sure fire conversions, however England boss Martin Johnson has named an unchanged side for this fixture.
As it stands the bookies are calling this match an even tie, giving the same odds to both teams, although the game is at Twickenham there will a large contingent of Irish fans present who be very vocal so England will not have the normal home advantage that they normally gain from Twickenham.
Drawing on past experience with the two sides Ireland have won five of their last six matches against England but England still lead matches won overall with 70 wins to Irelands 44 and they have shared 8 draws.
England v Ireland match odds
If Irelands outside centre and captain Brian O’Driscoll manages to score a try in this game then Irish bookmaker Paddy Power will be kind enough to refund all losing try scorers and winning margin bets that have been made on the match.

Will Villa suprise Sir Alex in the Carling Cup Final
February 25, 2010
Earlier this month Aston Villa met Manchester United in the Barclays Premier League in a game that pretty much decided in the first half, with the game ending 1-1, but we did get to see a sending off for United and Villa scoring an own goal. Nani’s sending off unfortunately it means he will be serving a three match and be ineligible for this fixture.
Now the two teams must meet again for the second time this month for the Carling Cup final (well the Football League Cup Final is its real name!) on Sunday 28th February from Wembley Stadium. Odds look like a win for Sir Alex’s side as the current holders of the trophy, but cup finals can bring out the best and worst in teams!
The bookmakers Victor Chandler are running a cash back betting offer on this game. If the match goes to the dreaded penalties then they will refund all losing first goal scorer bets and correct score bets as a free bet.

Maori Legend favourite for the 4:05 from Ludlow Racecourse
February 24, 2010
The 4.05 race from Ludlow Racecourse is a handicap chase; its full name is the Teme Conditional Jockeys Handicap Chase. The race will feature 15 runners over a distance of 3 miles with the going being set at good to soft. It is a class 4 race for horses aged 5 years and over.
The Irish bookmakers Paddy Power are running another fantastic cash back offer for you to use on this race today. If your chosen pony finishes in second place to the starting price favourite then they will refund your losing single stake.
The favourite for this race (well according to bookies Paddypower anyway) is Maori Legend ridden by jockey Mark Quinlan at odds of 5/1, the second favourite is shared with Carrickmines and Ash High who are both showing at odds of 6/1. The Freebetsblog.com tip for today’s race is River Ripples who is more than capable of winning the race but has been a little shaky of late so best to go on the side of caution and go for an each way bet, still worth doing as it is currently coming in at long odds of 12/1 with Paddy Power.

Can Chelsea beat their former boss in the Champions League last 16?
February 23, 2010
The first leg of the last 16 of the Champions League starts for Chelsea on Wednesday and they must travel to the imposing San Siro stadium in Italy to take on Inter Milan. The press and fans will be very excited with this fixture as ex Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho and his current side will meet up in what is sure to be an exciting game.
Chelsea players will be looking for the headlines to be on what happens on the pitch and not on the sex scandals of John Terry and Ashley Cole that are currently dominating the press. It has been reported that they have cost Ashley Cole 2 weeks wage, quite a hit when you are on £100,000 a week!
Both teams look quite evenly matched and that is what the bookies are thinking with no side having the advantage, Chelsea should have Frank Lampard back on board following his recovery from a virus infection that kept him out of the Chelsea win at the weekend over Wolves.
Inter Milan v Chelsea Match betting
True to form the bookmakers Paddy Power are running a cash back offer on this Champions League game. If the game ends in a disappointing 0-0 then Paddypower will refund all losing first and last goal scorer bets as well as correct score and scorecast singles that are made on the match.

Have a bet on who you think killed Archie Mitchell
February 19, 2010
Who killed Archie Mitchell?
Its the whodunit of the decade (so far) and the secrecy of the killer is almost on a par with who shot JR Ewing from Dallas in 1980, to keep the identity of the secret the killer will not be revealed until the airing of the live episode tonight of Eastenders on BBC 1 at 19:30 (well we imagine it will be at 19:59 just in time for the Da Dum Dum Dum outro music), according to press reports not even the cast will know to the last minute who will be revealed as the killer so it will make for some exciting viewing and is sure to be a ratings winner for the BBC.
The mystery is part of the 25th anniversary of Eastenders which has seen old characters such as Sonia and Robbie return. The current favourite to be named as the killer is bad boy Sean Slater who could have returned to avenge Archie’s attack on his sister, other likely suspects are Peggy (who is set to leave the Square soon!) and its a good bet to think that a Mitchell will be involved somewhere along the story, or could it be a silent killer in Tracey the barmaid who has stayed almost silent in 25 years of Eastenders and has finally exploded into a maddening rage?
If Phil’s son Ben Mitchell is uncovered as the killer then Paddy Power will refund all bets on this market.
Who is Archies Murderer?
- 11/4 – Sean Slater
- 3/1 – Ben Mitchell
- 9/2 – Becca Swanson
- 6/1 – Ryan Malloy
- 8/1 - Jean Slater
- 10/1 – Peggy Mitchell
- 16/1 – Bradley Branning
- 16/1 – Shirley Carter
- 16/1 – Stacey Slater
- 16/1 – Jack Branning
- 20/1 – Pat Evans
- 20/1 – Grant Mitchell
- 25/1 – Roxy Mitchell
- 33/1 – Ronnie Mitchell
- 33/1 – Janine Butcher
- 33/1 – Phil Mitchell
- 33/1 – Sam Mitchell
- 40/1 – Billy Mitchell
- 40/1 – Tracey the Barmaid
