Paddy Power Leinster v Leicester Match Odds (Saturday 23rd May, 17:00 Live on Sky Sports 2)
Leinster – 10/11
Leicester – 10/11
Draw – 18/1
Both teams look equally matched going into the game and accordingly they are both being offered odds of 10/11 to win in 80 minutes of play. To get better odds it might be better to look at who will be the first try scorer, the favourite to get a try first for Leinster is Brian O’Driscoll at odds of 11/1 and for Leicester Tigers it’s Alesana Tuilagi also at odds of 11/1.
To spice things up there is a great offer from the Irish Bookmaker Paddypower, if Brian O’Driscoll or Geordan Murphy scores the final try of the match in normal time Paddy Power will refund all losing try scorer and winning margin bets made on the match.

The battle to stay in the Premiership will be decided on Sunday
May 21, 2009
Its a nail biting time for the teams at the bottom of the Premiership, West Bromwich are definitely going to be visiting the Coca Cola Championship next season and who will be joining them will be decided early on Sunday evening. There are four teams at the bottom of the Premiership who could be relegated, Middlesbrough, Newcastle, Hull and Sunderland, either way 2 more teams from the North/North East of the UK are going to be playing lower league football next season.
Paddy Powers Premiership Survival Guide (who will stay up)
Middlesbrough are the second placed team at the bottom of the Premiership and will need a minor miracle to survive the drop, they would need to win their game away at West Ham by 4 clear goals (Stan James are offering odds of 80/1 for Middlesbrough to win 4-0 away) and hope that Newcastle and Hull lose their matches. That way they could survive on goal difference alone, Paddy Power are giving odds of 12/1 for Middlesbrough to avoid relegation, you can watch the match live on Setanta Sports 1.

Alan Shearer could see his Newcastle side relegated in his first season as manager; Boylesports are giving odds of 5/4 for Newcastle to avoid the drop. Shearer’s team are currently just in the relegation zone after Hull managed to get a point at the weekend and leap frog them. Newcastle however have one of the easier matches out of the bottom teams with an away trip to Aston Villa where they are at 13/8 for an away win.
Hull may get lucky in their home game against Manchester United as it’s likely now that United have claimed the Premier League Title they may field their kids team as they have nothing to play for whereas Hull have everything! A home win for Hull has odds of 9/5 with Paddy Power and will guarantee their Premiership status and put Sunderland in the frame.
Sunderland have the best odds of Premiership survival at 1/12 with Boylesports as they are relatively safe at the moment being 5th from bottom and with 36 points so even a loss at home against Chelsea who are evens for an away win could see them safe.
In conclusion it looks as if Newcastle’s Premiership days are at a close this may work in Shearers benefit as it will give him a year to repair and consolidate his Newcastle side and gain promotion in a season’s time. A team of Newcastle’s stature could also help other teams in the Championship thanks to the loyal Geordie away support.

If Manchester United can win Wednesday’s Champions League Final against Barcelona in Rome, they will move a step closer to matching the record set by Liverpool of five European Cup wins. Barcelona 10/11

Will Jenson claim his 5th win this weekend at Monaco?
May 19, 2009
The F1 comes to the Principality of Monaco and it is one of the most prestigious races in the F1 calendar. It is run on the streets of Monte Carlo and La Condamine and the race has stuck to the same circuit since 1927 which has many elevation changes and tight corners and a tricky tunnel to boot, making it of the most demanding courses on the F1 calendar.
According to most bookmakers it looks as if the English hopeful Button is set to win this race taking his tally of F1 wins this season to 5 and making his odds of winning the 2009 Drivers Championship to to 8/15. If Jenson Button wins the Monaco Grand Prix this weekend then Boylesports will refund all losing outright single bets on this race.

Can the West Brom Great Escape Continue against Liverpool?
May 15, 2009
The West Brom v Liverpool game on Sunday afternoon bares significance at both ends of the Premier League table. Liverpool will be hoping that the bookies have got it wrong with their predicitions for Saturday’s Man Utd v Arsenal odds where effectively, the Gunners are a 5/1 shot about keeping the Reds’ title dreams alive. Any other result other than an away win at Old Trafford would result in Man Utd winning the title for the third year running.
In comparison, West Brom will be hoping that Liverpool have nothing to play for in this game, allowing them to take advantage and continue in their quest to avoid relegation. The Baggies are currently three points from safety and following their 3-1 win against Wigan last weekend, there is a real belief that they can complete the Great Escape after looking dead and buried just a couple of weeks ago. Nothing less than a win against Liverpool would keep this dream alive and despite the 6/1 quote from bookamker Bet365, the players will fnacy their chances.
Liverpool are 2/5 to win the game but if they have witnessed title winning celebrations at Old Trafford prior to kick off, they are sur eto be deflated and may find it difficult to get up for this fixture with nothing left to play for this season. Therefore, if United do win the title on Saturday afternoon, we recommend getting stuck in to West Brom at 6/1 as that price will be too big about a team with something to play for versus one whose thought will be more concerned with their summer holidays.
West Brom v Liverpool Odds
West Brom – 6/1
Draw – 4/1
Liverpool – 2/5
Correct Score
West Brom 1-0 – 10/1
West Brom 2-0 – 33/1
West Brom 2-1 – 20/1

Liverpool 2-1 – 13/2

Man Utd can Clinch the Title with a Draw at Home to Arsenal
May 15, 2009
Man Utd can clinch the Premier League title on Saturday afternoon when they welcome Arsenal to Old Trafford. Sir Alex Ferguson’s team currently sit six points ahead of Liverpool at the top of the league and with both teams having just two games lef to play, a point agaisnt the Gunners in Saturday’s live lunch time kick off on Sky Sports would be enough to make it three successive titles for United.
Ideally, United would like to win the League and be presented with the title in front of the Old Trafford faithful having taken all three points, which is priced at 4/6 with Paddypower whilst the minimum requirement of a point is a 12/5 chance. The odds on Arsenal gatecrashing the party and taking all three points back to London with them is 5/1, a bet that is sure to be very popular in mMerseyside!
The game will be the third time that the two sides have met in as many weeks following the the two Champions League Semi Final game between the two, which Man Utd gained the upper hand in spectacularly with a 3-1 win at The Emirate last week to book their place in the final, which takes place in Rome in a couple of weeks time. A repeat of that scoreline is sure to be very popular at odds of 11/1 as too will be a repeat of the first leg score of 1-0 to Man Utd at odds of 11/2.
The Paddypower offer for this game is very much concerned with history repeating itself. Refunding all losing first/last scorer, correct score and scorecast bets on the game if Ronaldo score direct from a free kick at any time during the game.

Lockinge Stakes Betting Dominated by Paco Boy
May 15, 2009
The betting for the Group One Lockinge Stakes at Newbury on Saturday 16th May is domianted by Paco Boy, who is the 5/4 favourite to win the race with Ladbrokes. The Richard Hannon runner is the only horse in the field of 12 that has winning form at Group One level and with an official rating of 124, he is certainly the one to beat.
Furthermore, Paco Boy has a 100% strike rate at Newbury, winning all three of previous runs at the Berkshire track. Prior to this season, all his wins had come over distances of six or seven furlongs, but his win over 8 fulrongs at Sandown in Apri confirmed that he has more than enough ability to step up to a mile at Newbury.
The biggest danger to Paco Boy looks to be Aqlaam, who is very lightly for four years old but is still very much unexposed. The Lockinge will be his first run of the season but he won first time out last season, at Newbury and this Willie Haggas runner is very much of interest but Paco Boy remains the confident selection for this race.
